Food Photographer in Israel

I create professional photos of food, drinks, products and the atmosphere of cafés, restaurants and bars, as well as visual content for food delivery platforms. I produce appetising images for menus, websites, advertising and Wolt listings, along with short-form videos, Reels and Stories for social media.

Before the shoot, we discuss your goals, visual style and list of dishes to ensure that the photos and videos reflect your brand concept and suit the intended platforms. I provide food photography and videography in Haifa, Tel Aviv and other cities across Israel.

Menu Photography for Wolt

Menus and Food Delivery Platforms

Professional food photography for printed and digital menus, as well as Wolt and other food delivery platforms. Consistent lighting, angles and visual style create a cohesive menu, making dishes easier to browse and more appealing to customers.

Filming content for the restaurant's social media

Content for Websites and Social Media

I create photo and video content tailored to the requirements of each platform. We plan vertical and horizontal shots, wide views and close-ups in advance so the content can be used across multiple channels without an additional shoot.

Styled food photography for advertising campaigns, new menu launches, seasonal offers, outdoor advertising and printed materials. These images highlight the product, showcase its distinctive qualities and reinforce the brand’s visual identity.

What I Can Photograph and Film

A single project can include different types of photo and video content:

  • individual dishes, sets and meal deals;
  • drinks and cocktails;
  • desserts, baked goods and confectionery;
  • food products, branded packaging and meal sets for delivery;
  • table settings and styling details;
  • the interior and atmosphere of the venue;
  • the chef and team at work;
  • the preparation process and final presentation of dishes;
  • short vertical videos for Reels and Stories.

Videography for Restaurants, Cafés and Bars in Israel

I create short-form vertical videos that capture what still photography cannot: movement, the preparation process, final plating, the kitchen in action and the lively atmosphere of the venue. I carefully plan each sequence so the video captures attention from the first few seconds and reflects the restaurant’s visual identity.

Food Photography Projects

Rosalina Dessert

Premium dessert photography in Rishon LeZion for social media and advertising. Macro shots highlighted the textures and fine details, while atmospheric compositions and a levitation effect emphasised the products’ light, distinctive character.

Wine&Steak

I photographed a wide range of menu items for the restaurant, from salads to steaks. I used two visual approaches: clean catalogue-style images against a dark background and atmospheric photographs taken in the restaurant interior. This helped showcase the texture, succulence and presentation of each dish.

Mimino

Over 5.5 hours, I photographed around 40 Georgian dishes on location at the restaurant. Studio flash, a reflector setup and a carefully planned serving schedule helped organise this large-scale shoot while maintaining consistent quality throughout the series.

How the Photography and Videography Process Works

1. Project Consultation

Every photography or video project begins with a discussion of your business goals. We determine what content you need: photographs of dishes, short-form videos or a complete photo and video package. We also discuss where the content will be used, what it should achieve and which visual style best reflects your venue or brand.

You provide the number of dishes or products, the required shots and video concepts, the location and your preferred deadline. Based on this information, I estimate the scope and duration of the work, recommend the most suitable format and provide a project quote.

2. Shoot Preparation

After discussing the project, we create a shot plan and determine the order in which the dishes and scenes will be captured. We agree on reference images, backgrounds, tableware, props, camera angles and presentation requirements. This ensures that everything is prepared in advance and keeps the kitchen workflow efficient.

For video shoots, we also define the content of each clip, the sequence of shots, the approximate duration and the required orientation. If the venue has established brand guidelines or specific content requirements, I incorporate them into the preparation process.

3. The Shoot

The photo and video shoot takes place at the restaurant, café, bar, production facility or another agreed location. The client prepares sufficient space for the equipment, along with the required tableware, props and ingredients, and appoints a team member who can promptly approve the presentation of each dish.

I bring my own professional equipment, set up the lighting and create a composition for every dish or scene. During the shoot, I show key images to the designated team member so we can immediately approve the presentation, angle and important details. For photography, I capture the variations included in the shot plan; for video, I film the agreed scenes and any required additional takes.

4. Photo Editing and Video Production

I professionally edit the photographs and produce the agreed video clips. During the editing process, I follow the chosen visual style, video pacing and the technical requirements of the platforms where the content will be published.

5. Delivery of Final Content

After editing, I deliver the finished photographs and completed video clips digitally in the formats agreed in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Food Photography

Do I Need a Food Stylist for the Shoot?

In most cases, a separate food stylist is not necessary. The chef understands the dish, its ingredients and intended presentation, while I know how that presentation will translate on camera. During the shoot, we can adjust the placement of ingredients, choose the best angle, refine the table setting and remove any distracting details.

Does the Restaurant or Café Need to Close During the Shoot?

In most cases, the venue does not need to close. If there is enough space, we set aside a separate area for the shoot and equipment without disrupting guests or the restaurant team. The timing and order of the dishes are coordinated with the kitchen in advance. For smaller venues or large menu shoots, it may be more convenient to work during quieter hours or before the restaurant opens.

How Many Dishes Can Be Photographed in One Hour?

There is no fixed number, as the pace depends on the complexity of the dishes, the chef’s workflow, presentation requirements, the number of angles needed and the chosen visual style. For example, sushi can be prepared in advance and kept refrigerated for a short time, while pizza, steaks and other hot dishes should be prepared immediately before they are photographed to preserve their fresh, appetising appearance. Once I receive the list of menu items, I can estimate the required duration of the food photography shoot.

Can New Menu Items Be Photographed Later in the Same Visual Style?

Yes. Restaurants regularly introduce new dishes, seasonal offers and drinks, so follow-up shoots are common. During a repeat session, we use the previous photographs as a reference and maintain consistent backgrounds, lighting, angles, composition and colour palette. This ensures that the new images blend naturally with the existing menu and preserve the venue’s established visual style.

Should Dishes Be Prepared Differently for a Photo Shoot?

Ideally, dishes should be prepared and served exactly as they are for restaurant guests. Promotional images should accurately reflect the actual presentation and set realistic expectations. During the shoot, we can carefully adjust the ingredients, clean the edges of the plate or turn the dish slightly towards the camera, but the ingredients, portion size and overall presentation should remain authentic. This helps maintain customer trust and prevents disappointment when the served dish differs from its promotional image.
